I've been out so long I'm pretty sure my MOS doesn't even exist any longer. And even if it did I'm sure it wouldn't remotely resemble the MOS I held.

That being said I would again choose to lay down my life for this country. I just hope we can one day return to prosperity and stop the pussification that is running rampant in this great land.

If America needed me again then yes.

Would I go to the recruiter office? No. I was a recruiter and with all the guys that couldn't survive in the real world show up on a daily basis I wouldn't ever show my face. It's so disgusting how bad service members want out but when they fail and come in the office looking like a bag of arse I doubt any of you would want to serve with them.

Why does a war motivate shitheads? Honest question. If you couldn't hack it for 4 years then what makes ppl think war is so motivating?

I have to be honest with you, I'm getting more and more like what you just said. 22 years in both active and reserve. 2 tours - enlisted for 10 years and an officer for 12. Retired about 6 years ago and when I watch how much ground this country has given up I really don't think I give a $hit anymore about what is happening over seas. I've done my time and now I'm about taking care of me and mine. I guess we'll have to see how everything plays out over the next few years and how my feelings change...

Depends on the country, if it's France or a French-speaking country I'm sitting it out. Je parle French.

Would you re-enlist if America is attacked by a foreign government? We all probably know plenty who enlisted after 9/11 and most of those I know wouldn't go back in unless we were attacked.

So what would you do?

I'm betting a lot of us would go find a militia to join. That's the problem with attacking the USA and every other country out there knows this: most everybody owns a gun or has the right to do so. Could you imagine the insurgency that could be brought to bear against a force looking to occupy us? It would make the Iraqi insurgents look like amateurs in comparison.

That AR15 isn't gonna do much against a nuke. If we get attacked on our own soil, it will be too prevent American intervention in another part of the world, not to hold ground. Militias won't mean much.

I am now too old for hand to hand fighting, or anything like it, but I would volunteer and do what I could. You see films of Britain during WW II in which the old vets walked a beat and made sure things were as they should be. Dudes wearing old fashioned helmets.

One of my favorite WW II movies features a very old WW I naval vet who goes to war and is the only person who really understood the ship. gets a concussion in a storm, but saves the day later anyhow.

I didn't enlist. I was drafted. I'm glad I was drafted. If I had it to do over again I would enlist.

Yes but I doubt they would really want me. I have been out since 1996 I am 48 years old, fat and out of shape. But if they thought I could help absolutely.

Yes, but they wouldn't take me back, at least not for what I did. I'm 33 with the back of a 90 year old.

I served under commander and chiefs who were prior service.
Reagan - Navy
Bush- Navy

Let the liberals and SJW's fight for a commander and chief who has never fought a war!

I'd go back back if needed but I've done more than most and my leg is fricked for life. It would also depend on the ROE. I love this country and the guys I served with I'd pray to be back with them. Hey I gotta free license plate out of my service.
