Are you experiencing dizziness or are you trying to pass out? There is a big difference…

thats not a major BP swing, but you took it after drinking plenty of water and you may have been a good bit lower before the water and taking the BP.

google 'home epley maneuver' to try if you get dizzy again. whether or not that can helps you may help your doctor narrow down the differential.

honestly the part where you mentioned getting sweaty (diaphoresis) and potentially the 'fog' raises an eyebrow without being able to do a proper H&P. dizzy and diaphoretic go along with vertigo, but also some other more scary type things related to brain or heart rhythms. the improvement after drinking water and dizziness with head position point away from scarier things, but may not be seeing whole picture without an H&P. I would never think a patient was unjustified seeking medical care if concerned about those symptoms to be on the safe side.

If you had a lot of salt yesterday and fried food etc…, possibly you triggered Meniere’s syndrome. Humming or ringing in ears could be present also.

I have to assume these posts are fake, for my own sanity, because I can't fathom how someone can be stupid enough to treat serious symptoms here rather than go to a doctor.

Not thinking it’s serious enough to spend 100 dollars for a doc to say some variation of fluids and bed rest.

It does sound like vertigo, which can be caused by calcium crystals in the inner ear. Very common. I had it myself as did two siblings. It was just intermittent bad vertigo.

Look up the Epley maneuver. Very easy to do at home, and harmless if this isn't your issue. It can get the crystals out of the inner ear.

I would get it checked out ASAP. Could be something benign like vestibular neuritis (vertigo after a viral illness) or something more serious like a stroke or heart attack. Source: me, an ER doctor

Vertigo caused by your inner ear crystals out of place possibly. I have known people who have had this. Not common but not rare either.

Ear crystals… You have probably never heard of them, but you have them. If you are experiencing vertigo or dizzy spells, they are most likely the culprit. In fact, about 20% of all dizziness is due to loose inner ear crystals.

You trust doctors? The same people who pushed these COVID lies?

Had a guy from work who (at home) stood up quickly, was dizzy and lost his balance, and then fell and hit his head on a piece of furniture, requiring stitches for him.

He reported (in confidence to me) that his doc said it was probably the result of his ED med as he had no other discernible issues.

Sounds like vertigo
. I am not a doctor but that is my diagnosis. Go to the pharmacy and get some motion sickness pills and you will be fine in a day or two.

I'm no doctor but had similar symptoms (vertigo) before roto virus or food poisoning striked me hard. After expelling all my bodily fluids I felt better the next day. Hopefully you get better soon and it's just some weak arse virus that your body kicked but ib the process made you feel a little weird/dizzy

OP sounds a lot like vertigo. Crystals could’ve just settled back.

If you do the Epley wrong though you can bounce them around and make the symptoms a bit worse though. I did this on a rotation in PT school to some poor old lady. I’d see an ENT or a vestibular Physical therapist (likely easier to find an ENT) if the symptoms flare back up and GP gives OP a clean bill of health.

If you have vertigo with change in head position you likely have BPPV. Google the Epley Maneuver and do it. Or go see a vestibular trained physical therapist.

Vertigo is a symptom, not a diagnosis. If it persisted beyond 60 seconds, it is not likely BPPV (loose “crystals” in the inner ear). If you did not have unilateral change in hearing or onset of low pitch humming tinnitus accompanying your dizziness, it’s not likely Menieres’s. I’d say schedule an appt with a vestibular audiologist or a good ENT (preferably an otologist) as a starting point. You shouldn’t do the Epley maneuver unless you have been instructed by a professional and you are certain the crystals are in the posterior canal. If it is BPPV and you complete the Epley yourself but don’t do it just right, you risk multicanal involvement which makes treatment a lot trickier and more involved.

*Also fyi, if the cause of your dizziness was vestibular neuritis, it’s likely BPPV can follow in the next few days or weeks.

If you’re a hot chick, you’ve been roofied. Did you wake up with some creepy dude’s hand down your pants?

If you’re the typical OT poster, you have vertigo or low blood sugar.

Room spinning equals BPPV almost all the time in my experience. Ent or a PT who treats vertigo

Started experiencing bad dizziness yesterday morning. Ignored it. Hit me like a ton of bricks yesterday evening and last night, the room was spinning to the point that I could not stand up without losing my balance. I was sweating and felt nauseated.

Are you obese?

110/70 BP as of a few minutes ago. Is this considered "low?"

1. That blood pressure in normal range.

2. Sounds like you should check your blood sugar instead of your blood pressure.

Obligatory, it's dick cancer. RIP.
