OT Mechanics- Question for you

So this weekend the grease monkey repair place changed my alternator, alternator drive belt, Idler pulley, and serpentine bielt tensioner.
I picked my vehicle up right as they were closing and didn't realize until a little bit later, but my damn A/C isn't working now. What could they have done incorrectly to screw this up?
The guys struggled quite a bit getting one of the belts on as I watched them, so I'm thinking they didn't know what they were doing.

What kind of vehicle? Some have a separate ac belt. Like a early 2000 Silverado.

If he put some prying action on the AC pulley, he may have bent the shaft. Can you tell if that pulley is spinning when the vehicle is running?

May have run the belt the wrong way around the pulley for the AC. Shouldn't be a struggle to put the belt on - there is a tensioner that you can move to change the belt. Should be a one-man operation.

This. There is no reason to "struggle" to put that belt on...

Looks like it's spinning like normal.
I watched them raise and lower the vehicle three times. They talked about it a few times, took the tire off, got a 2nd person to come work on it. Just seemed like they were having a tough time.

Is there a chance for some goofy reason they loosened the electrical connector going into the AC compressor?

That's my first thought. I would hope they also torqued everything correctly. Get a competent shop to reinspect it.

It's frustrating and potentially damaging to your vehicle when places hack through a repair.
The absolute worst are those with little experience trying to fix an electrical problem.

One of my older cars lost AC because a tiny vacuum line detached. Would have never spotted it by myself.
Take it back to the shop.

It's an older Pilot.
I will have it back to them this afternoon.

Then it's gotta be the fetzer valve.

99% chance they didnt reinstall the AC belt.

Assuming it isnt belt related...check your fuses. If they did not disconnect the negative post on your battery when changing the alternator, then it could have blown a fuse. Or they may have caused the coolant leak out of your AC system with all of the struggle to get the belt on...which should have been an easy swap.

They'll tell you it was not working when you brought it in originally.
