I have a bunch of old steel frames including 5 Colnago Master X Lights and I put the most miles on a ~10 year old Wilier Izoard XP with mechanical SRAM Force which I train on in everything but wet weather because it has rim brakes. It has more relaxed geometry than the 0 so training miles are easier on my old body.

Nothing to apologize for. If you can afford it, you can afford it.

i'm old too
the new electronic stuff is cool; but i invested in top line campy and shimano back in the day and there's not a thing wrong with them so i dont have any desire to upgrade.
i always say the bike has way more potential than i do so unless i get fast again, there's no reason to buy anything new.
i am having to face the harsh reality that my racing days are behind me for good

I work from home, so daily is a stretch but it is the car I use since my son Is driving the “2nd car”
I got the ac working too so that helped
‘87 sounds cool! I would post a pic of mine but am too dumb to figure it out.

This is what I'm wanting Mrs. Iwy to get when we get her a new ride. There's one on our street in the forest green that is really clean. Thankfully she is fine driving her paid off vehicle for now.

2017 ES350
I don’t drive the miles I used to so I want a truck but refuse spend 1.5x what I paid for my Lexus on a fricking pickup.

2017 Jaguar F-Pace (wife)
2018 Camry SE (kid)
2019 Camry SE (kid)
Looking forward to kids graduating college and getting them off my insurance policy in a few years. Will replace wife's in 2 or 3 years when we retire and run truck until it dies.
