OT lawyers: Unique trespassing issue

I'll try to keep this quick.
My home, years ago, was the only home down my street on family property. Matriarch and patriarch died, family wanted to start selling. Property was subdivided and the private driveway servicing my house was extended to the end of all the subdivided properties and converted to a public roadway.
Therefore, I own about 3 feet on the other side of the roadway.
Weird old lady on the property adjacent to this 3 foot strip and her 30-something year old meth head daughter like to drive down my road and actually drive over my 3 feet and THROUGH their yard to their home and then park. They're quite weird and honestly I could see the old lady's sons pulling a gun on me if I ever go talk to them to ask them to stop.
This creates a low worn spot on my 3 feet. I cut that strip of my property when I cut grass so this bothers me.
More than anything, though, is my concern for legal issues in the future. They also walk across it too. If they ever drive over my 3 foot strip or walk over it and injure themselves or bottom out in their car, damaging it, could they come back and file suit against me since it's my property?
It would be quite ridiculous to put up a fence there since it's so close to the roadway. Also, it's part of the electric company and parish's servitude to be able to service the power lines and road so it's not only ridiculous to put up a fence but probably not legal.
What are my options?

Move to a different trailer park?
ETA; if this thread goes 3 pages you might get 2 helpful posts. You'd be better suited to post on the MB or even the OB.

I’m not your lawyer.
That said, you need more info.
Also, boundary disputes are always nasty. Work it out with them.

A three foot strip of grass on the opposite side of a public roadway? Connected to their property?
Are you planning on doing something with all this 3-foot of land you own?
Try selling it to them. If they don’t want it, have them trespassed.

When people start driving and parking in the yard, it is time to move.

Have someone come and dump those big chunks of recycled concrete along the road.
Grab a lawn chair and and enjoy the show.

Is this a public road that was donated to the local municipality? If so what you probably don’t know is that the road right of way is probably 50 feet wide and then you are in even more issues if it is still a private road then you may have some rights.
Step 1 go to an attorney!!!!!
If you are a cheap arse and just trust some rando guys information on the internet...
Step 1 go to the local tax accessors office.
Step 2 see who owns the property on their website.
Step 3 if it isn’t you then quit mowing it, if it is you then talk to the governmental agency you donated the road too. About what rights they have as the road servitude. In many cases they won’t let you line a public road with hedges on the very edge.
Step 4. This is the real step the liabilities you are at risk for are not worth it. If you do own the road donate it minus the mineral rights to each homeowner. And be done with it. Also do you have an boa? If so use them to be the bad guys

I mean sure you “own” it. But you can’t do anything on it.

The the 30 year old female meth user you have 7 dollars you don't need anymore.
Help you forget about the 3 feet of grass on the other side of the street.

Donate it to all the property owners the land connects to on the other side, you can't do anything legally with the land with it being so close to the road so it's not worth the liability to own it. Consider it a stupid tax for cutting that section of land off in the first place.

Have you talked to them about it at all? Seems like people are always afraid to just ask people something. Worst thing they can do is say no then you can go from there. Best case scenario, they say "oh, we didn't realize that. We'll stop".
Where is the drive for their property?

If I understand the lay out of this property correctly, then the 3 foot strip on the other side really does not have any marketable use....it simply seems to service a servitude for the properties on the other side of the road.
If that is true, your problem was created by poor planning of this roadway, but nevertheless, if you sole concern is liability because you are the "owner" of this land...sell it or donate to the adjacent landowners for some nominal amount.
What else would you ever do with it???
