This doesn’t make any sense. If the relocation company bought it then it’s already been sold....to the relocation company. Either you own the house or the relocation company does. It seems as though you aren’t telling the whole story here.

Then you own the house. What you stated in the OP about the relocation company buying it is incorrect.
You owed the HOA and you don’t pay them what you were legally obligated to pay. Any late fees, interest, and legal fees are on you. If you simply paid your bills like you agreed to do all of this would have been avoided.

Without knowing the specifics of the agreement with your company, it's not really possible to give you a good answer. If you're dead set on not paying, you should find a real lawyer, explain the situation to them, and show them the contract you have with the relo company. Generally speaking, if your name is on the title, it's your house. If the HOA guy already has a lawyer involved, I could see you getting screwed off of this really easily. Just my two cents.

They bought it...I received the proceeds...my mortgage was paid off...I signed POA for the deed over to the relo...they put all of the utilities in their name...they paid the HOA dues, late, but they paid....they bought it.....my name won't be removed from the title until someone buys it from them
