You asked for advice and a very capable lawyer has told you to pay the $10 and be done.

Why are you still fighting and rationalizing your dumbass decision to stand on principle thus far?

You got your advice now shut the frick up and listen to it.

I hope you get hit with legal fees personally.

I said 200 times the 10 dollars will be paid....I'm asking if this douche can really put a lien on for bogus legal fees....he's cashing the checks from the relo company...he got his lawyer involved because that's what he does.....now for the last time, the 10 dollars was always going to be paid and is irrelevant

that makes no sense. if they bought it, they should be getting a title that will be under their name.

Fair enough. Not a lawyer, but..

At the end of the day though, this sounds like an issue between you and the relo company, not the HOA.

HOA guy might be a dick (aren’t they all?) but he’s still doing his job - collecting dues and late fees. It sounds like your problem is that they are hitting YOU up for the late fees, not the relo company. Let me ask you this question... if it’s not your problem then why are you concerned about the lien? In theory, the same thing could have happened regardless of whether you or the relo company received the notices. If you were completely out of the loop and a lien ended up on the property would that make it better?

I think the answer is no because as long as the title is in your name this is going to be your problem. The relo company being late paying dues and not paying late fees is your issue, not the HOA dick’s.

ETA: If you weren’t pussyfooting around getting the bill paid, maybe there wouldn’t be “bogus” legal fees? Kind of hard for you to call them bogus when you still haven’t paid them..

This right here is what the problem is. You are not too good at all with facts.

Is there a pergola involved?

I doubt anyone here is barred in Indiana to know what Indiana law says on the matter.

But I know there are multiple posters hoping he can place the lien

God damn, you’re a fricking douche

I didn't slander him...I could care less...I just don't want a frivolous lien because he brought a lawyer in over a matter less than 100 dollars

This isn't even a legal problem you're having at this point, it's a mental health problem. Go talk to a therapist about this guy you'll have better luck.

This is starting to sound like you tried to show him how big your dick was by refusing to pay or give a shite about the late fees, and now you’re upset because he bigger-dicked you by involving his lawyer and threatening a lien.

Kinda looks like HOA-1, dillpickleLSU-0

No but you don't like him and are trying to give him trouble. Problem is, you're a low rolla in this one and he's over you.

And pay the mfer and be done.
