I’m waiting till tomorrow. I did my best to not have to build anything but I did give my cousins 1 year old Mickey Mouse drum…. So he may go out and get a late present for my 5 yo.
I did buy mine a violin, harmonica and bongos sooo I don’t mind noise.

Step-kid is at the “just get me a gift card” stage of life.

The only assembly was the big fleece blanket I made for her. And that was a couple weeks ago.

Did that one two years ago - it comes down to just nailing the stickers. Easier said than done.

We stayed up until 2:00 last night building so we could get some sleep tonight. Drums and a bunch of miscellaneous stuff.

My wife was the Great Assembler of past years. She enjoyed it (also: she enjoyed putting furniture together. I lucked out with this one. She's a keeper). I've largely taken over cooking, though. Very nice Christmas roast on today's menu.

Our oldest is in his 20's and our youngest is in his mid-teens. The stuff has been mostly electronics for years now. I get the most joy looking for neat stuff that they'd never expect but end up liking. Also love sneaking in gifts to my wife that she doesn't expect. That's the closest I come to that feeling I had as a kid on Christmas morning these days.

I would try to assist in wrapping gifts, but to be completely honest, I'm absolutely horrible at it, and it ends up looking like a blind squid tried to wrap it.

Debating whether or not to assemble this 3-D printed Supercross track for the grandkids…or just wrap it and let them have all the fun doing it tomorrow.

That’s awesome! I always lean on the side of assemble so the kiddos can plug and play.

I was leaning toward assembling it, but they aren’t getting here until after everyone else comes to eat. So I don’t know where I’d have room for it until after lunchtime. It’s around 4 ft. long.

No Kidcraft shite this year. No trampoline. No swingset in backyard. Made out like a bandit this year.

I’d tell you to hide it in your pants but that joke is too uncouth.

I'm drunk. Everything that needs building is getting built tomorrow. Santa doesn't build shite. Merry Christmas, gents.

Thought I was going to be sharp and assemble my daughter’s Kidcraft doll house a few nights ago where I wouldn’t have the headache tonight.

First of all the instructions were just pictures but it was not detailed pictures. Finally got some of the pieces together correctly or so I thought and it went together pretty easy after that.

Well I’m sitting everything out an hour or so ago and my wife said you put the back wall upside down. I looked and sure enough I did. I blew a fuse. I was so mad. I had to take it back about halfway apart to fix that.

Then the Razor electric ride on scooter was mostly assembled but the handle bars. That sucked too. Other than those 2 everything else was pretty easy. Can’t wait to see my kids faces in a couple hours.
