OT females - is an elective C-section “cheating” at delivery?

My wife and some of her friends and I recently got into a discussion where they believe that women who deliver a baby via elective c-section are “cheating” at childbirth because they’re not doing it the old fashioned way through the poon.
I countered if they want to truly go the old fashioned route then they’d do it without an epidural. It was at that point in the conversation that my opinion was ruled invalid and I got the verbal equivalent of gang banged
.
Is this a common belief among women?

Yes
Same thing as pain meds for delivery.
Hospital deliveries pamper women so much these days it’s like a 3 day trip to the spa except you have to wipe shite and struggle to sleep afterwards

A giant c section scar and being cut open is cheating? This sounds like something a women would come up with.

My daughter was breach and couldn't be delivered naturally. Wife had to have an emergency c section due to risk of her getting strangled with the umbilical cord.

Unfortunately, c-section shaming is now a thing apparently among women. I don't know how prominent it is, but it definitely exists.
I think it is centered around women that can have a baby vaginally, but choose to have a c-section due to superficial reasons.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that it was only done if necessary, and that women can't opt to have it done that way?

for who?
the recovery is much easier for a natural birth
c-section is a major surgery, it isn't easy

My wife has done two at home by midwife with no pain meds.

How is it too shiny?
Women get doped up
Fed all day
All their friends show up
They have a photo shoot
Get gifts
Everyone tells them how great they are
Husband has to cuck out full time
And they Get a baby they don’t even have to take care of the first day
Pretty close to spa treatment to me

My wife would have died without one, so "cheating" seemed like the right call.

Yeah, my wife had some complications after our 2nd kid was delivered via c-section. She was on bed rest for a couple of weeks.

If the same women want to do things the old fashioned way, they should have childbirth at home with a midwife delivering the baby like my grandmother did back in the day. My mom and 3 other siblings were born on my granny’s bed. Now that’s doing things the old fashioned way.
