So your wife skunks you, and take the ball and go home and call the sport stupid.
I don't think fishing is stupid, I just don't enjoy it. Now nascar, its fricking stupid.

In what other ways does your wife dominate you?
she is funnier than me by a long stretch. she has more friends, and everyone loves her. most people "tolerate" me.

Get that kid on the water man, and if you see him getting bored or frustrated, slip a bream on the end of the line when he ain't looking.
My grandpa pulled that one on me and I only realized it a couple years ago when I was thinking back on it

Started my son at about 5 y/o . Like everyone else , I bought a snoopy combo . I was catching bass from the bank on a small jig with a 4 inch plastic worm and he picked it up in no time . He's eleven now and caught an 8 lb Large mouth 2 weeks ago on a plastic worm . His dream is to go Tuna fishing at the mouth of the river .

I was about 3 or so. of course, I loathe fishing now, I would rather go shoe shopping with my wife than fish.
I bet you like Beta Fishing.

We have a camp so my son has been around boats/fishing his whole life. His first time in boat to the camp was at 3 months. He's six now.
Bring him a toy rod, some other toys, PLENTY snacks and lots of patience. Remember it's about him and just catering to him. Luckily my wife is usually with me so she kept him entertained. Chances are he will get bored quickly. Move around a lot to keep his attention. Don't make him stay real long if he's complaining or he won't go back. Best thing for me is to catch a red and put it in the live well. He'll play for an hour with that or with my wash down hose. Lol.

We went a lot early on. He hated it but knew how much I enjoyed taking him so he put up with it until he learned to write code and make apps for his Iphone about age 10 and then the trips were over.

Around 3, we were out on the boat the other day. He's 5 now and loves to go.
