How does the OT reconcile with abortion regulation stopping sensible people from having kids?

Sensible people don't have abortions.

It really is simple. The second you take a penny from the govt in the form of welfare, you are forced to be permanently sterilized before the check hits.

An indoctrinated leftist. That's who. OP needs a hard look inward.

If "we're going to uproot our lives before having children because we may need to kill one that we intentionally created" is his line of thinking, he probably needs to see a priest.

A man, scared of taking that next step in adulthood, whose wife is pressuring him for kids because she feels that bio clock ticking.

Absolutely no one that isnt having kids is doing it because of abortion.

Birth rates are falling because of culture and the degradation of the importance of marriage.

Marriage has become more of a status symbol than a foundation for our society.

People get married for money and/or looks.

those TVs cost like $200-$300 - cheaper than an abortion

Maybe you should upgrade the incentive to an iPhone

thats fair. It's negotiable.

Murdering children is such a bizarre thing to defend.

My angle is that people are less likely to have children in a state where if something goes wrong more than 10 weeks in they can’t handle the situation without risking the mother’s life.
This is a straw argument as 99% of abortions are just because the people don't want the baby.

however the people you are hoping will get abortions already get free birth control that they don’t use

So what makes you think they would be bribed into having an abortion?

Be specific here. What situation would arise in this scenario that would necessitate being remedied with an actual abortion.

Define goes sideways.

If you find the right incentive i bet they would. Maybe its a free set of rims or a voucher for some tattoos or cigarettes. Maybe a get out of a meth charge free card. IDC just make it cheaper to the tax payers than a lifetime of welfare for the kid. Thats before we get into the cost/benefits of one less high probability criminal.

Texas abortion law allows abortions only when the pregnant person's life is in danger due to a medical emergency. This means a life-threatening physical condition aggravated by, caused by, or arising from the pregnancy, where there is a serious risk of death or substantial impairment of a major bodily function. There are no exceptions for rape, incest, or fetal abnormalities.

I would actually be shocked if every state does not have a law similar to the one referenced. It has always been argued that calling abortion healthcare because of the examples of when the mother's life is in danger was the BS strawman argument because of the protections that are already in place at the state level for these circumstances.

If OP really wants to flex that intelligence, he needs to have a conversation with his wife's OB and get an understanding of how her Dr and the facility would treat them in this type of scenario instead of posting this to the OT.

two years of welfare, food stamps, wic, free healthcare, discounted housing, help with child care, and a slew of other government freebies seems to beat out any other incentive you could offer

Looks like problem may be with another entity altogether
