If it is around 48” high from the floor, it’s definitely a listening device. That’s where they always put them.

No. The wall is painted, then there is molding, then the top is wallpaper and the wallpaper is where the problem is (and it is definitely not a problem with the wallpaper as I thought at first)

It is not picture taking when they do it. They aim it at me or they hold it out in front of them. I come around people and BAM they get on their cell phones. I drive by them and BAM they get on their cell phones. This really needs to stop. And don't say it is coincidence as I know what I see every f'in day.

OP, you definitely need to see a therapist.
2ndly, you don't need a contractor you need a sheetrock guy. Its a one person job. A carpenter will do it too but they are usually more money.
This is likely your issue, its where 2 sheets of sheetrock meet. The sheetrock has just settled poorly over time or you are just now noticing it. Your issue is likely the seem where two sheets meet. This is what it looks like without paint or anything just bare.

I see your point but there is no way I would have missed it. Plus, I didn't find any other similar stuff when I checked the other walls in the house.

I just measured it and it is hard to tell where it starts and ends but it is about four feet. So, what exactly is a butt joint?
