OT Cheap Airfare of the Week: Nola-Orlando $68, Los Angeles $147, Cancun $264

Happy hump day folks. For those of you thinking of escaping the rain, here's your chance. Just saw frontier will start flying some new routes from MSY so looks like there's a promotion for Nola to Orlando for $68
. Any requests let me know
New Orleans to:
Orlando: $68 on Frontier, $90 on Allegiant, $158 on Southwest. Frontier deals look like it's mostly wednesday departures in April and May, essentially just look for one-way fares and the cheapest dates will pop up. Add in $25 each way for a checked bag if you end up flying frontier (cheaper to check a bag than carry on), still cheaper than southwest. Also looks like southwest is trying to not lose all of it's business with the nonstop, they have $79 one-way fares on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays in April, May and early June.
Philly: $98 on Frontier, $174 on United or Southwest, $188 on American. Really sporadic dates April through early June, but plenty of options flying up on Frontier/ back on United for example.
Dallas: $71 on American, Spirit or Southwest. April until the end of May
Los Angeles: $147 on United. On united this runs April through second week of June, on southwest this runs until the end of July so if you have summer travel planned to LA book it now.
Fort Lauderdale: $118 on Southwest. Mostly Tuesdays, wednesdays, and sundays through the end of May.
Atlanta: $118 on Southwest until the end of May. Delta's around $163.
Denver: $138 on Frontier, $175 on United.
Houston: $118 on United, $138 on Southwest. About normal
Miami: $140 on United, $143 on American. Mostly tuesday wednesday saturday departures in April and early May
Seattle: $184 on Delta. Tuesdays, wednesdays, saturdays in April and may
Anchorage, AK: $360 on Delta. Lots of dates in April, May, some dates in June
Cancun: $264 on Delta in April (saturday nonstops), jumps up to $278 for weekdays in April or May.
Boston: $194 on Delta or Southwest. Tuesdays, Wednesdays from April through August

Google flights for Frontier, American, Delta, United, Spirit, and Allegiant
Southwest's site for just southwest. From their main page click flexible dates (it's their calendar feature) to search by month for the cheapest days to fly

You've helped me with info last week BUT I'm putting looking aside for now.
WHEN should I really start looking for deals to NYC? Two months before? Not going until July and all I'm doing now is frustrating myself!
You're awesome for doing this!

If you wanted to do July 13-19 from New Orleans- NYC (JFK) it's at $251 roundtrip right now on American. July 13-19 on Southwest is at $280 to Newark.
Laffy is around $445 roundtrip

$29 one-way MSY-MCO fare is April 27th, one-way back is $39 May 4th for a grand total of $68
. Other weeks around there are $78 or $88 if you want to come back on saturday instead of spending a whole week there

I think I'm being picky time wise which I kind of need to be. Not sure why I'm worried as in the end what will be will be and I'll pony up.
What time frame is best to truly start looking? 4 months out now so maybe 2 months from now? And I'm pretty set on LFT as I don't want to have to drive 2.5 hours to MSY and back at Lord knows what time AND I don't want to have to spend a night in a hotel there. That's worth paying the money to fly out of LTF as it's only a 30 minute trip to Lafayette and NO hotel needed AND we don't lose a half day + in NYC.
Cuse.

Yeah just keep waiting if you're not going to drive to MSY. 1-3 months is the usual so within that time range book something.

What about NOLA to Cancun in October/December?

$392, not really worth it to book this far in advance unless it was around $300. Most airlines haven't even loaded/finalized schedules for summer yet so we still have half the year to wait on this

I am looking for LFT, BTR, or MSY to GGT. Exuma international near Georgetown. Dates in July. Idk why but the prices have been all over the place recently. I have paid 950 first/business before, but I also need 2 coach tickets for kids. Any ideas why tickets are so high right now? Is it a bad time?

That Orlando flight is hilariously cheap. Too bad there is nothing of interest for me there.
I need L.A. in July for work, but just don't have dates/areas solidified yet. Would be awesome to get that price.

Yeah, still too far out to book, this is the first week I've seen any cheap prices for summer US flights (and that's only up through early/middle June). The latest cheap cancun flights as of right now is the last week of May. In about a month, the MSY-CUN flights should have some cheap dates for late June/early July if I had to take a guess.

Yeah Orlando isn't my favorite either but for some reason everyone on this board loves it so I post those flights if I see a good deal.
For LA, in about a month you should start seeing some pretty good deals because of so many airlines on the MSY-LAX route (Delta, United, American, Southwest, Spirit I think?). I haven't seen any American sales for MSY-LAX yet but if I had to guess they'll be coming soon since the route doesn't start until July anyway

Sorry just went through and saw this request.
Cheapest for July is MSY-GGT at $573 for economy, $932 for first. This is for most of july as well. If we look at prices for April, they're around $466 since it's not that much more for prime summer time. Does the $573 sound about average for what you've paid before?
The caribbean during the summer is usually pretty pricey, I'm also not sure if American/Delta have their schedules set for July but I'm only seeing one flight from MIA-GGT and one from ATL-GGT. That means any connection from MSY has to connect with that flight or else you're stuck spending a night in Miami or Atlanta.

Headed to Cancun in June flying out on a Saturday and back in on a Friday. What would you guess I'll be paying for a roundtrip?
I already have the resort booked, just not the flights.
