...what will you do? Voluntarily halt operations? Wait for direction from the CDC? PIIHB?

I understand that. What about those that may have been infected by the sick employee? If one employee has it couldn’t the virus be everywhere in the building?

Tell em stay home like I would with any illness. Holler when your feeling better and ready to come back. Basic flu instructions. Nothing more nothing less

Do you don't care that others at your business could've been infected as well?

Everyone goes home for 2 weeks. That's our policy.

Screw that. We’d lose so much business there wouldn’t be a company to come back to.

Edit to add: we have one main office. If I sent everyone home (65 employees) I might as well burn it down, like someone alluded to above.

So your solution is to give them HIV?

Another question say the employee was a someone who interacts with a lot of customers like a dealer at a casino.

Do you inform your customers or hope it doesn't get out?

You keep your goddamn mouth shut and blame it on a competitor. Duh.

They have sick days and PTO days. Use them.

Just not all at once.

Truth be told, I have business continuity plans that would allow folks to work from home, if needed. We could keep operating as long as I had about 50% strength. The VPN going down would be disastrous though.

I'll send them home too. Not sure why this is complicated.
