I get asked repeatedly about why my lawn looks so good compared the oher ones in my neighborhood. I think it's because I'm the only one who cuts my own lawn and spends time working on it myself.

I wish a goat would work. I have 8 acres with fruit trees and a pond. Groundskeeper also pressure washes the buildings, and other task. I feel like I'm getting a decent deal for the amount of work involved.

i was paying $55 for 1/2 acre, with not too much trimming/edging... very good price, IMO

60 per 7-10 days depending on how fast it is growing. This is for 1 3/4 acre. Spend about 40 extra 3 times during the summer for roundup. 150 about 4-5 times per year to bush hog the other 2 1/4 acres.

This. I just can't understand people that have time on their hands but pay people to do services around their houses. If your just busy all the time I can understand but people that don't do shite but still pay people to cut their grass, clean their house,do easy arse maintainable around the house etc just baffles me. Some people are lazy as frick. It feels good to get outside on a warm day and get some exercise and listen to some music or a baseball game while drinking a couple cold brews. You don't have to waste your whole Saturday like another poster said. There are 6 other days in the week. You would be surprised how much work you can get done in a few hours. People that have big pieces of land well you bought the mother fricker now maintain it.

Yep, doing things more meaningful than mowing grass.

That's awesome. Then you aren't part of the group of people I mentioned in my post

Well he's nine. so......
I had to mow from 7-18 years on every Saturday I wasn't at sports from March to October at 6 AM.
I'm pretty sure his once every two weeks isn't going to drive him to hate me.

My wife cooks most of the time. We treat ourselves with a night out once or twice a week. She works her butt off she's earned that. I do wash my own vehicles unless I'm in a hurry or get too busy. But that's 4-5$ 40$ for an hour or two of work isn't worth it. Is rather lay myself that and get some sun and a nice swear going. Plus it's gratifying looking at the yard after it looks great. Just like completing projects at work To each is own.

My wife and I cut our house and our farm but it's what we both like to do so no big deal. Not about money. A chicken on the green egg a few cold Envies and LSU baseball game on the radio.

I dont own a lawn mower and only pay $25 a cut, trim, and blow. The expense in a mower alone is more than what I pay a season. Plus I dont have to put on some music, take off my shirt, and pretend to be a man that actually does something around the house.

You seem really really concerned with how other people spend their time.
