The last violent criminal they released bc he deserved a chance to rehabilitate just violently murdered a 60yr old black woman with a knife. A woman who was gainfully employed and appeared to be a quality citizen. I wonder how this one ends up. It's amazing the black populace in New Orleans votes in Black progressive politicians whose policies make them more likely to be murdered and unemployed and then they want to blame it on white supremacy. The black community in New Orleans has been voting against themselves, them and their families safety, and their own economic prospects for 60 years and they continue to vote the same way.

Word from one NOPD, they are fed up... not bother arresting for a lot of things, waste of time knowing they will just be turned loose.
That's what is happening in St Louis right now as well.
And it's all by design.

If someone can't be rehabilitated after 40 years for something they did as a 15 year old, what the frick are we doing with them then?

OK. How many years should one get for viciously killing someone with a box cutter? It's obviously less than 30 in your eyes so go ahead and quote a number. 29 and 6 months seem right? 25? 20? Until they say they are really, really sorry about that?

This is another Soros - backed D.A. which is all the explanation needed. His leftist platform was quite clear & he won election by a significant margin. The City is getting what it voted for.

The criminal District Attorney advocating for the release of prisoners. Isn’t this a violation of his oath (i honestly don’t know what his oath of office entails)? Malfeasance? Dereliction of duty? Seems like one of those would apply?

Sounds like something for a parole board to decide.
Why not just execute them as a 15 year old if they cannot ever be redeemed?

Its June. Has he not been in front of a criminal court judge much this year? wtf? Isnt that kinda his job?

40 years in prison and is now a chaplain's assistant
I am not opposed to life sentences or even the death penalty, but if we are saying there's no chance this person is rehabilitated then what's the point? Are prisons strictly for punishment?
I don't have the answers just thinking out loud

You conveniently left out the gruesome murder of another person.
He didn’t run a red light and kill a pedestrian. He fricking stabbed and slashed someone.

Let me guess - you’re the type of weakling who would cry at mean words but want to let out this murderer? That about right?

So the guy has been in jail for 40 years for something he did as a drugged out teenager?
I think asking for parole is the right step here. Now, the family of the deceased absolutely should have the right to go before the parole board and argue for him to stay locked up.

Why are you getting emotional and acting like a dick?

Yeah, you nailed it.
People in their 50s and 60s are the same as they were as teenagers. No point in considering otherwise.

I’m good with that.

How long has he been in prison?
Looks like 40+ years
Why does that matter? He had a life sentence w/o parole.
Do the crime, do ALL of the time.

when the DA can restore the victims life, then he can restore the criminals freedom.
