A few years back they had to shut down Giarrusso's court bc of black mold.

I hate that court with a passion. I had a record in three places last week. Not sure how that's even possible.

And good luck getting papers back in a timely and orderly fashion.

I once had a very simple case go to trial and I did not get the decision from the judge for 11 months.

I can't recall ever having done so. I don't even want to take a piss in there, and I've taken a shite in the Superdome Terrace bathroom during the 3rd quarter

I don't understand this. Why can't someone just call the elevator people and be like "hey our elevators don't work, we need you to come fix it"?

Do they just not care?

People likely complained to the city bc of the signs, but the city probably turned a deaf ear.

Not sure why the judges put up with that shite.

The city is responsible for the elevators. I am surprised no one has been killed by them yet, doors open and the elevator is still moving. I always take the stairs.

They cannot be fixed is my understanding, they have to be completely replaced. I was told that the repalcements were ordered and are sitting in a warehouse, however the Court and City are fighting to have the building completely replaced because of the cost.

The forms for all four City Court judges are a bit different. When you total up their salaries, all four make roughly $149,000, about the same as those Criminal and Civil District judges. But under the "miscellaneous income" section, each judge reports an additional $5,000 to $25,000 in income from officiating weddings.

And their work load is considerably less. I'm may have to run.
