City is on a roll today. See my post below about the murder acquittal.

Anyone familiar with this building, knows these elevators have been broken for a long time. 2 out of the 3 have been broken for over a year. A sign has been posted that they're the responsibility of the city.

Orleans Parish Civil District Court and the First City Court have been closed because the elevators in their building are broken, according to a news release issued Thursday (May 17) by the courts. The courts are located at 421 Loyola Ave., adjacent to City Hall.

2 of the 3 haven't worked as you said in forever.

That building is the biggest shithole in the city.

They desperately need a new building. It cannot be fixed anymore. It has to be replaced.

Someone slipped the maintenance man a Benjamin so they could get to the coast a little early this week.

The stairwells look like the inside of a carrier with all of the paint chipping, and it feels like a sauna during the summer bc of no ventilation.

Yes. But older people struggle bc of the heat and no ventilation.

They do. CDC is on the 3rd and 4th floor. Pretty cramped stairwell but I use it. First City Court is on the 2nd floor.

There would be no disabled access though.

Anyone who hasn't been there has no idea how bad that building is. When I say it is a shithole, I mean it. It is a really, really, really decrepit building.

You ever take a shite in there? The bathrooms in the old OPP were probably better.

It’s a disgusting building, inside and out. It somewhat exemplifies the city. It’s an embarrassment.

I got stuck behind about 70 people from a church going to a hearing on the 4th floor the other day. All of them were either old or obese. It took more than ten minutes to get to the courtroom.

I can't recall ever having done so. I don't even want to take a piss in there, and I've taken a shite in the Superdome Terrace bathroom during the 3rd quarter

I believe it. Too bad you just can't litigate in JP.

I find this hard to believe. NOLA is known around the world for their commitment to great infrastructure.
