I'm pretty sure I've been to that overlook. Here's a stock pic (no clue who the person in the pic is) that shows the overlook. She would have had to go on top of a pretty big barrier or fall off it, but there is a pretty sharp drop on the other side.

Saw a teenager fall to his death at Glacier last year while taking a selfie after he had climbed over a barrier off the Going to the Sun Road. Lost his footing and basically swan dived 100ft. Was rough to see and was even worse to see his mom scream and slide down and try to get to him, but he’d still be alive if not for his own stupidity.
While they were bringing his body back up on the backboard I heard one of the NPS LEOs mention that the number of deaths from falls and human stupidity FAR outnumbers those from bears, moose... any wildlife at these parks
Just be smart and you get to live another day.
