Where is a good hotel to stay that is reasonable and things to do with 2 kids 4&5. It will likely be too cold to get in the water.

With young kids that age I would make finding a heated pool a priority

The Lodge at Gulf State Park is nice, and they have bunk beds for the kids (if yours are into that).

Everything is reasonable in Orange Beach as long as it's not a holiday week.

How long are you looking to stay and why does it need to be a hotel and not a condo?

If you are set on a hotel I would just drive a tad further to Pensacola Beach and stay at the Hilton there.

The Phoenix 7,8,9,10 whatever...the prices are reasonable and some have heated indoor pools.

I second the Lodge. Got a cool lounge area for the kids. You’ll have the beach to yourself. They have the best breakfast around.

We like Grande Pointe Condos. They are on a corner by the canal with a rock jetty forming a natural beach boundary. Indoor and outdoor pool. Really chill place with big condos, off the beaten path.

With kids its the best time to go. We always go next week. Uts 70s during the day. Not so hot and miserable for little ones to play in sand all day on beach.

I am not paying $350 a night for the state park lodge. The Omni in San Diego gaslamp district was the same price last time we stayed. Y'all baws pay a lot for the redneck riviera I see.
