In China you can still get a fun factory job with a pension, go drink beer with the boys and shrimp fish after work, then drive home to your not fat wife to the house that you own
In China the average home is 646 square feet! You can still own a 646 sq ft house in America and drink beer with the boys and fish after work. In fact, you can own a 2,000 sq ft home and do those things. And the reason those Chinese women are thin is because they have LESS options than your fat wife does.

Not all propaganda is false.

Do we need all these data centers ?
What purpose do they serve?
They're needed to analyze all the surveillance data being gathered.

I don't think the largest companies in the world are dropping unprecedented levels of capex for something that doesn't have demand.
Are they "needed" is not the right question, technically we don't need a bunch of the modern shite we use.
The right question is, is there demand? And the answer to that right now is unequivocally yes. So much so that there's a massive shortage of data centers.
I'm on the fence on whether they're good or bad, but my optimistic side says that if we want power technology to advance, then this massive demand is how to achieve that. The demand and shortage of power has never been higher. Innovation in that space is absolutely needed to keep up. This could be a new industrial revolution for power and electricity.

Look at you supporting communism. Then again, you are a bonafide goose-stepper.

Roger will not like you criticizing his communist overlords!

A 646 square foot house in America is probably in the ghetto
China doesn’t have ghettos because diversity is illegal

Wouldn’t mind data centers if they weren’t ruining good farm/country land. Talked to someone who works in Richland parish and he said it is a shite show.
North Baton Rouge has blocks of abandoned building. Tear them down and put the data centers there.
