N.C. recently (July) passed a bill that limits public access to police video.
If they don't release it voluntarily, it will take a court order by potential litigants to view police body cam and dashboard video.
It would be prudent to release the video ASAP if Scott was in possession of a fire arm and he did have it out at the time he was shot.
If they don't release the video, then one has to wonder.

The Governor just said on CNN that law comes into effect October 1st.

Still blows my mind that the mayor still hasn't seen the video yet. She just had a pretty embarrassing interview on Fox.

Oh Lawd, the conspiracy theories from the BLM folks are going to be wild once they find out about that law and when it was passed.

he problem is that the line of questioning starts and ends at "why are blacks being killed by cops?".
And the question itself is rediculous. "Why was (specific person) killed by a police officer" should always be the question. Each case of a police involved shooting is unique. They should all be looked at individually and and not lumped into groups. By putting them into groups it diminishes the details of each situation and and that's an injustice. It's and injustice to the cop that's labeled as another trigger happy cop. It's an injustice the victim being labeled as just anothe thug or Darwin Award winner.

Or at least a still shot of the video that shows him with the gun
But even with that, it wouldn't matter. Some of the protestors have already said that it wouldn't matter if he had a gun or not

It doesn't matter. The video was altered to include a gun.
Just like the BRPD placing a gun on Alton Sterling
It is NEVER their fault

The cops vs BLM is like watching UT vs AU.

Of course not. They were out there chinking rocks before the body was even cold

Upgrayedd-
Agree, and they are probably already aware of the new regulations to access police video. IMO, given the climate that was not the best plan of action. It does invite suspicion, especially if one is looking for a reason to be suspicious.
Agree also that it probably wouldn't matter to some of the BLM crowd if the video or a snapshot of its contents showed Scott brandishing a firearm.
