Sure, and you get that money when you provide a sufficient amount of value. Businesses don’t exist to meet the needs of their employees. They exist to meet the needs of their customers. The more you help the business in that endeavor, the bigger share of the pie you get.
I mean, if someone literally can’t acquire the skills needed to provide enough value to command more than $12/hour, then they need to be on disability. I’m not being facetious. That’s not a high bar and if someone simply lacks the ability to get over it, that’s what disability is for.

The middle class is getting eaten alive by technology not immigrants.
