Wow. My father built and owned the complex at 11610 Sherwood Hollow in the 1980s. I lived there for several years. It was actually a pretty nice area back then. He sold it in 1991. I know things are way different around there now.

We had to drive through BR last night to go back to Texas, I was passed by no less than 5 morons driving 100MPH+ between Millerville and Acadian. Always good to be reminded why I don't live here anymore.

Several months ago driving the other direction I was passed by 3 other idiots street racing at the Sherwood exit, then passing O'Neal on the right I saw one of them upside-down in the middle of O'Neal. Apparently they ran off the road and flipped the car. Such a garbage city overflowing with human refuse.

I'm just glad I didn't get shot on the interstate like some people have in New Orleans.

This is what happens when a city gets greedy and overbuilds Apartment complexes. Areas get desperate for renters and the low life’s move in..

It’s not the city it’s HUD and subsidized rent.

Anyone know why the sadvocate article lists this as homicide 146 in EBR instead of 166 ?

Y’all ever wonder how many of these bodies are the cameraman filming these shitty videos and they get an accidental round off. Like, a hood Alec Baldwin.

We need a study to determine how we can provide programs for intervention for the at risk youth who continue to commit these crimes.
Murphy Paul

Or we could lock up the thugs and quit letting them bond out the next morning for $1500.

Nah, ain’t no money in dat. Need mo studies.

Many areas of this city have changed a lot in the past 30 years and most not for the better

Grew up in BTR and left in '73. Hurts to come back and see what has become of what used to be the nicer parts of the city. And worse is knowing it will never be the same again.

Someone said on NextDoor that the Exxon off I-10 & Sherwood has become so shady that the attendant at times only lets one person in at a time. Ridiculous

There are tons of homeless people in that area and then you have the Blvd de Province spillover. That Walgreens has massive theft problems according to the employees. They also told me those hotels back where Chuck-e-cheese used to be are rampant with prostitutes. It's a very shady area now.
