I had somebody try to toss a beer into my sombrero from a 3rd story balcony once. THAT almost knocked me out.

Happens all the time. I got hit so hard today I was bleeding from my chin for a good while. It's just party bumps. It happens.

Exactly. Same goes for beads or other things thrown from the crowd towards the floats. They should expect it since it happens every parade, every year. If you are a rider who complains about people tossing throws back at you, maybe you should man up or just stop riding.

No, I didnt like it. One side of my face was numb for about an hour. I don't remember glass beads ever hurting anyone. Need to bring them back!

agree, it sucks seeing anyone getting unexpectedly hit with a bag of beads...
some people on this board have no sympathy. until its them..
i got hit with one once looking at one float and the next one had someone pelting bags. swear when it caught me i felt like i had got hit with a baseball bat in the head.
the thing i hate now a days is the little kids throwing shite over the floats.

I don't really feel bad considering it is a parade and people know shite is going to be flying. If you just want to look at the floats then id suggest staying way in the back or at the very front.
