ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Two Central Louisiana residents have been arrested by Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrell’s Office as co-conspirators in an ongoing child sex crimes investigation.


John Randall Crooks, 41, of Deville, was arrested Sept. 28 and booked into the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office. He is charged with 882 counts of pornography involving juveniles and 412 counts of sexual abuse of an animal.
The Attorney General’s Office said Crooks’ arrest stems from evidence uncovered during a prior investigation that began in November 2021. Authorities said continued investigation from that case revealed Crooks possessed additional child sexual abuse material and was receiving child sexual abuse material produced by a co-conspirator.


Bryana Gaspard, 35, of Marksville, was also arrested Sept. 28 and booked into the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office. She is charged with one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile and one count of production of pornography involving juveniles.
According to the AG’s Office, Gaspard’s arrest originates from evidence found during the prior investigation that began with Crooks’ November 2021 arrest. Authorities said continued investigation identified Gaspard as a co-conspirator in crimes involving the sexual exploitation of children and the production of child sexual abuse material.

Bond information for Crooks and Gaspard is currently unknown, and the investigation remains ongoing.
