It does not affect me personally. But it does let me know how much pride a person takes in themselves pretty quickly.

I doubt you go through your life without ever talking about what other people do or noticing when other people are weird.

I don't see how people don't understand this. Youre a 400 pound slob with a neard and shitty fitting clothes and you want me to hire you for a job. It's obvious you take no pride in yourself so I implicitly already have bad feelings towards you. That may be wrong, but it's a reality that first impressions are really important. The first 5 seconds meet someone are important than the next 20 minutes.
