The fact that you are so rustled by this, combined with the fact that you are from Alexandria basically lets me know you have worn a ball cap and jeans to a wedding and/or funeral before. Which is fine...do you...but don't be so shocked when people think less of you.

It's a shame that we couldn't bet on your moronic assumption. Yeah, I'm so rustled I actually know how to dress for those occasions and I sure don't wear a hat to them. Once again, you know what assuming does, right? NTAC in full effect

And Shreveport is so much better, that's hysterical

There are two kinds of people in the world, trashy and non trashy. Clothes help identify them.

And as long as you aren't the trashy one, it doesn't really matter.

What a black suit from men's warehouse with a wide tie you bought in 2003?

A little better, but not much..I'll give you that. I'm not from here originally. But I will say the first time in my life I saw jeans and hats at a wedding was in Alexandria. Actually I saw it twice...once in Alexandria and again at a wedding in Natchitoches.....the bride and most of the people there were from Alexandria. shite blew my mind when I saw it. And you were rustled enough to start a thread about this so....

Um, no but thanks for trying to be funny. I don't get my suits from Men's warehouse either. Ties? Yeah, wrong again. 0 for the century so far. Keep trying though, you can do it

There is a difference between "worrying" and simply just observing and commenting. For example, I never "worry" about someone dressing like a buffoon. But I will notice and comment if they do.

Nah, I just like to see peoples comments and attempted put downs. Trust me, I have seen what you are talking about. Not my thing but I don't think I would go on a message board about it. It doesn't affect me. I also think that issue will get worse before it gets better. Just my two cents.

Of course but there seems to be a lot of let me start a thread on things I don't like other people wearing on here. Just trying to be like everyone else Truthfully, I don't care. If you want to look stupid, look stupid. You have to accept the consequences of your choices.

Omg a guy is wearing a hat in church. He’s so trashy.

it's disrepectful. Always has been. Someone who doesnt know that is trashy in general.

I do blame big mega churches for assisting in bring society down a notch or 2. Not holding people to their "Sunday best" has been sad. it's like going to the mall. Church needs to be held to a higher level. But hasnt and we see how that has not been beneficial to our society.

Agree totally with this but like you said churches are trying to get people to fill the pews, no matter the appearance of those showing up.

Im guessing you liked the dude who dressed his kid, and himself up as mini-Hilters for Halloween.

Or maybe you would be cool if you had a boy that dressed up in dresses. Or a daughter that dressed up in stripper clothes all the time.

Yeah it's sad they have assisted instead of setting an example.

I stopped going to church yrs ago cause of it. No need to actually go if it's no different then going anywhere else. I'll catch the sermon online.

Not a church goer, but this is why it bugs me when I see it at weddings/funerals. We are either there to honor a huge day in someones life, or to honor the life they had. Either way, how you are dressed is a display of your respect for that person and the event. Suit and tie shows this is a big deal and I'm honored to be here. Jeans, a PFG shirt, and hat show...well...I'm not sure, but I would guess it shows they are just there for the open bar?

Alright, I have to confess, I have worn a hat to a wedding but it was part of my uniform (Dress Blues) and it was outside. That is the only time though.
