If it makes you feel any better I grew up in TN. Talk about confused, huh?

I really wish all this would end already.

Would anyone be concerned about the rising waters in Spanish Lake for those living in Fountain Hill? I'm trying to figure if I need to send my wife and kids away.

Go here and type in your address. The higher your elevation is above 15ft the more comfortable you can be.

If alligator bayou road fails it will be tragic. Rather than 1"/hr @ Jim bayou, it will likely be several inches per hour and ridge road will be evacuated. You will have drastically increased flooding along hwy 74

why wait around to see?

I'd feel pretty damn good about that. I'd keep a close eye on Bluff Rd @ the end of Fountain Hill Blvd so you don't get trapped back there but based on elevation alone, your house should be good.

I'm on big easy st, the last road off bluff before 74 on the lake side. I've been measuring a steady 0.5"/hr raise.

My house is at 13.9 ft and have 1.58 ft before it is at the top of my slab if that helps anyone.

Do we have an estimate of how much more of an increase we should expect?

I really hope he's exaggerating or a vehicle drove through and caused a wake.

Just made it home from bagging on the ridge all day.

Such a mess back there. Oak Alley subdivision helped out a lot by filling bags all evening. I extend a very sincere thanks to all who were filling bags today all over the place and giving them out. Y'all helped me and mine out big time.
