In 15 years when this whole PC, offended by everything BS is a thing of the past (hopefully), I think there's going to be a lot of regret for allowing Mitch to tear down historic monuments.

The New Orleans monuments were built by citizens at a time well-removed from the Civil War. Lee, Beauregard, and even Davis, were not tyrants who terrorized the entire population.

Why were they built to dress wearing traitors who aided in the death of hundreds of thousands anyway?

So it's okay for Neo Nazis to build Hitler/ Himmler / Goering statues now since they are well removed from WWII ?

Just as the Neo Confederate Supremists who built that monument at Liberty Place? Same Neo Confederates Supremists who put up the statues of their Confederate heroes?

Time to send those guys back to the history books .

sad thing is majority of the people in N.O. probably don't even know who those statues are.

Then I assume you will join me in my crusade to have mount Rushmore demolished as well as our currency to be recalled, redesigned, and reprinted. After all, how can we go day to day with those raysis shite lord slave owners in our wallets?! Every time I see a quarter or a dollar bill I get triggered.

And don't even start on the raysis abomination that is mount Rushmore. Do you see how big those slave owners faces are?! I mean Holy shite! And that piece of shite who wanted to ship all the blacks to south America and to an island off of Haiti? Blasphemy.

Show me where you were saying any of this two years ago.

Why did it take a tawdry political stunt by a lame duck two bit mayor clamoring for a post mayoralship job to make you think up any of this?

Do you ever stop and wonder why it is you can be so susceptible to emotional manipulation? Probably not, I guess.

or

do you stay up at night in an anxiety-created sweat wondering what offenses you're NOT thinking about (but are committing) at the moment that will become major issues in a year, 2 years, 10 years?

Agreed over 2 years ago when Wynton Marsalis publicly called on them to be taken down.

Wasn't sure it would happen ,but I'll be damn he did it.

Seems you & the rest of the Neo Confederates are emotional. I'm mostly indifferent, but I agreed with Wynton & Landrieu agreed as well.

I'm more sympathetic to the stone Mountain carvings ( well done art) than these public statues.

Don't have a dirty history, think of others, don't think you're superior to others a false pretense, don't rape, murder, maim or enslave groups of people, don't discriminate against them and undermine your nations fabric

Treat others with love and respect, forgive others, and be humble. And the world will NEVER have revisitonist history on your life.

Actlike a sack of shite and treat others like a sack of shite and eventually your legacy will be treated as such.

It's pretty simple

German OT Lounge?

Please tell me how many millions of people Davis, Lee and Beauregard led to the gas chamber.

Oh hey. You're back. So. How about mount Rushmore? Our currency? Why aren't you calling for those to change? Why aren't you triggered every time you pull a slave owner out of your wallet?

Is it not an endorsement of these horrible men to have them grace our currency? Why won't you respond? I've asked several times and you crawfish away

I've actually always thought that rather ugly. I'm not a big fan of relief carvings, though.

I certainly think the Beauregard is more aesthetically pleasing.

I have no ancestral ties to the confederacy really, by the way (at least none that I know of). Half my ancestors hadn't gotten here and the other half were so far down the bayou, they likely weren't even aware of it. I'm a fan of historical juxtaposition though.

Carry on with your un emotional conniptions, I guess.

Perhaps the African Americans of this country should begin doing this amongst themselves and quit being slaves to a political party that tells them what to believe.

One topic at a time. We just got Andrew Jackson off the twenty and finally put a real true American patriot on the bill.

I could spend all day pinpoint things but it's best to work one at a time

Then do what? Vote for conservatives and push for policies that deny them the right to vote, imprison them, and keep them in poverty?

It's cool to be able to orderly compartmentalize grand offenses so neatly.

Mitch wants to change Nola like other mayors are attempting with their cities. Bending their knees to the hip millennial crowd and running the old white folks out of town.

Just admit it...you support the eradication of non-millenial, conservative white people from society
