You're an arse.
This is her second DUI on the Causeway. You don't get on a bridge that is 24 miles long and drive drunk.
The worst thing that could have happened did happen.
Even if she had not caused this accident that killed and injured innocent human beings on their way to work, she could have had an accident that maimed or injured herself.
I'm not holier than thou but you don't get on the road and drive drunk, particularly on the causeway.
How would you like it if it was your father who was impaled by a guard rail and had his arm severed from his body???? Or your child??? Brother??? Sister??? Parent???
She is vile and digusting and she wasted a life other than her own and she needs to pay heavily for it.
You're almost as bad for defending her.

I have never gotten the logic when people get defensive just because they know someone. Just because you know someone doesn't mean they can't be a piece of shite. There is absolutely no excuse for her actions. As a person that has gotten a dwi in the past I refuse to drive drunk now and will make accommodations or find a ride if I have had too much. 2 previous DWIs in a years time and having a suspended license is a choice to continue to drink and drive knowing the risks. How can this be her family's fault? She's grown. And yes, I'm a chick. I don't condone her actions. She was wrong, and I don't defend it. I think the judicial system is a failure, also. I cannot imagine the pain the other family is in, I can only speak for what is unfolding in front of me. But to call her a bitch and slut and "coked out" is uncalled for. Look on many 26 year old facebooks and you will see the same pictures posted. So easy to be an arm chair QB. Her life is over. His life was wrongly taken. Two or more families are in unbearable pain I cannot and do not want to imagine.

its nice that you care about friend and I can imagine the family is in great pain if only from the embarrassment
but her life isnt over,she'll get out in probably less than 10 years ( since you rightly point out the judicial system is a failure) . She can get an eduction, marry, have kids and find purpose in her life
