Just so happens that I've been watching a lot of old 1980s Motorweek episodes on YouTube, and last night I watched the one on the 1985 Cutlass Supreme 2 Dr. Holy shite, there was loose rocker panels, missing/torn trim, bad paint in spots. Just a mess.
My sister had one from that model year. A V6 model. Got it when she graduated from LSU.

I loved that year-particularly the 442.

I’ll tell you what, I love American cars, but those cars rattled like shite. Literally, when you bought it, you would make an appointment to come back in and fix shite that was broken.

I just gave away a 1988 V8 Broughm that belonged to my Mother in Law. She bought it new and took great care of it. It has 84k miles on it. I gave it to a relative that wanted to restore it all original and use it as a cruising car. It was a cool car but, I was damned glad to get rid of it.

I had a 79 Cutlass Supreme. Bucket seats. Had the small engine. Had bucket seats and shift in the floor. Loved that car.

Had a '77 Supreme with the 350 that drowned in the May 3rd flood in New Orleans. Unfortunately, the design downsized for the next model year, but bought it anyway!

I much preferred the Oldsmobile designs over the Buick designs. Even into the 1990s, the Aurora and Intrigue looked better than the LaSabre and Regal. IIRC, the Aurora had a 4.0L V8 when the Buicks had a supercharged V6.
