Old plane going across Miss River Bridge
Posted by Langland on 6/7/22 at 3:06 pm621
With the plane interest around here, I thought I would post these photos I took a couple of years ago while crossing the bridge.
I know nothing of the plane. I'm sure someone could tell us about its history. Or know whether it has since been reassembled.
I covered the trailer's license plate number, but it has Florida plates, if that helps in the search to find it.
Pretty cool.

How do you know the plane wasn't flying low and carrying the truck and trailer?

100% a p-51 mustang
This plane in the picture was actually flown in Europe two days after D-Day by a man named Elliot Schlisser and he was from Kenner but raised on the east side of Chalmette by the refinery
Plane was redone after the war and put up for storage and then when they took it out in 2018 it fired right back up after just some minor tinkering

You arse.
As much as I cross that god damn bridge, I never see the cool shite. The only thing I ever recall seeing that is worth mentioning is a car that was actually one fire.. And even then it wasn't a big fire and people were going to it with a fire extinguisher.
