Like I stated before. The young guy wearing his swim suit in the freaking shower…kid is going nowhere. Middle management is his ceiling.

The gym I go to has a pool/splash pad and the only way to access them are through the men’s/women's locker rooms.
I took my 6 year old daughter to the splash pad on her last day of summer around 9AM on a Wednesday. I intentionally poked my head into the locker room before walking through and sure as shite, three dudes, probably early 60’s, standing around but arse naked.
I pushed my daughter back and said hang on, we’ll have to wait. One of the old dudes says “it’s ok, I have daughters too.” I replied “Wtf, I don’t care if you have daughters. My 6 year old doesn’t need see your old wrinkly arse.”
I honestly don’t understand the point of using a public shower. I’d rather pass on the staph infection and use my shower at home. I think some of these guys are closet figs.

I always wrap up with a towel if I've gotta walk around the locker room naked.

Had a few strange experiences.
Most memorable is I would swim at lunch and would stop in at a gym chain that had locations all around Houston. This one was in an older area with a ton of retired guys. Always old naked dudes in the locker room walking from showers to lockers. Dry off at the shower and throw the towel over the shoulder. Seemed unnecessary, but it was the norm. But this one guy actually took the time to wrap his towel around himself. Just way up under his armpits. So high the towel didn't cover the waist down. Like Whinnie the Pooh with a towel instead of a shirt. Cracked me up.

Generational thing. Older guys grew up from middle school showering at school. Younger generations didn't shower at school - they went to class sweaty or went home sweaty.
Hell our football locker room had four shitters with no walls. You took a shite and talked to your buddy who was shitting next to you.

It is definitely part of it but there is so much gay hooking up that people do not know about. Some guys cannot control themselves and keep it behind closed doors. I've been in a steam room and had someone ask me why my towel was still on. Told them to mind their fricking business

Sure. I have no issue at all with showering, making your way to your locker, changing, etc.. But I don't just stand in my own bathroom at home naked the whole time I'm getting ready. Like I'm not going to brush my teeth, comb my hair, shave, etc. completely naked. I shower, dry off, and either throw on some boxers or wrap up in a towel then get to the other stuff. It does seem like older guys go out of their way to do things naked that they probably don't even do in their own homes.
