Your have been sent back in time to the year 1700 into a northeast American Colony . You are a 30 year old male or 30 year old Female with nothing more than the clothes on your back. You currently possess the knowledge you have now. What do you do with this knowledge? I mean you know there's Gold in what will be modern Day California and Oil in what will be Oklahoma. None of that matters though because you have no way of getting there and the Natives would kill you anyway trying to get there. What would you do? or what could you do to make yourself wealthy or make this colony Thrive without looking to crazy? Could you create electricity before Franklin? create an engine? help control disease?

I'm not sure i have any skills that could make a difference other than teaching persons how to read and write. Passing on to many future secrets might get me burned at the stake though. Yeah I know you would write a book to your future kin about future history and how to deal going forward but that is not an option. What would you do OT could you become great? Lets here what you would do. Yeah I'm bored

Create companies following paths of successful companies before they were created. I'd have a dude on horse and buggy bringing 2 day delivery on firewood with Amerizon Prime shipping. Sit back knowing that if my family tree follows the business path I have written down that my lineage will never have to work again. At least till 2017

If you have a good understanding of the manufacturing process and would be able to start making large agricultural equipment and firearms, you could change the world quickly.

America wouldn't need slavery due to the ag equipment. With repeating firearms, you'd be able to slaughter any standing army of the time.

Apprentice with firearm artists.

Invent the glock (renamed ol Rando's magic repeater), made of wood.

Retain recipe for gunpowder clean enough for cartridges. Become supplier of clean burning powder for my lifetime.

Use all profits to expand and acquire timber holdings.

I don't know how anything is made and I don't think I could figure it out with the lack of technology they had.

I do know who will be President of the US and the other major players in the political scene years before it happens. At 30, I'd do my best to associate myself with these people and try to House of Cards my way into a position of power by 45.

Edit: just realized it was 1700 not 1700s. I'd be dead before the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Yea, I'm screwed.

My first order of business would be to kill whomever is in your family tree at that time.

If I went back to 1700 when I was 30, the locals would think I was an Indian with an incredible grasp of the English language.

The majority of the people here would dedicate their lives to serving the British and making sure their investment in the new world was protected.
