I don't know if I had covid or not bc I never got tested. But I was also doing work at a chemical plant the day I got sick, so it could have been from that. But either way, I had an intense headache for like 2 days. I also had terrible hip pain on both hips. Then towards the 3rd day the pain went from my hips to my calves. Headache was fine by day 3. Calf pain probably lasted a full day or so, then I was back to normal. I did remember having extra fluid in my ears, as my one ear got clogged up big time, couldn't hardly hear from it for 1 day (and it about drove me crazy, holy shite). Other than the headache I was actually never sick or had a fever during the whole ordeal. I wish I would have gotten tested, but felt too bad to go to Dr. This was probably about a year ago or so. I've always wondered if this was the virus or something else. Being at the chemical plant and the work we did, always made me question if it was actually covid.

Although a real doctor could correct me in that heavy pain on the left side and low o2 levels would indicate heart troubles, maybe a bronchial issue.

first lets address the o2. o2 sat was 95%, which is not low, its normal range. although you're not wrong, the problem is the differential for whats described is immense.

pain in the shoulders can be referred pain from visceral thoracic/abdominal organ inflammation like pancreas, stomach lungs heart etc. could be local anatomic injury, or direct, disseminated, or seeded infection.
could be infectious mosquito tick viral autoimmune etc.

even if you shotgun a shitload of infectious/autoimmune stuff, the timing could be off or just have muddy result interpretation. given the workup as described, this may reasonably be chalked up to something like an unspecified viral syndrome without future episodes and repeated workup informed by more history.

the differential for fever and body pain”

What’s so funny about that?
I’d be curious how many Drs.Bigfish had to see to get diagnosed with “Parsonage-Turner Syndrome”

Anecdotal:Our grandson injured his L arm pole vaulting.2 different ortho Drs.misdiagnosed him, ordered, physical therapy.
NP wife wasn’t satisfied and did deep dive on Dr.Google.and came up with brachial plexus injury.
She took him to a neurologist and bingo!-brachial plexus injury.

A couple of months back, my brother drove to and from a hinting lease in Missouri. He first had numbness in his hands and feet. The next day he couldn't stand up. He ended up in ICU for a month and he was paralyzed from the neck down. He was intubated for a week. He is able to walk again and is not in severe pain like he was but still hasn't gained total strength in his legs. They said Guillain Barre, But the rehab asked which vaccination did he take. He is still having pain

No it definitely wasn’t an injury related event. I have been in Dallas, birmingham, and Mobile Al, jackson, southhaven and gulfport ms this week. I swear the pain feels like it’s coming from the bone out, not a radiating type nerve pain but more a pulsing type deep muscle pain.

probably quite a few, and that isnt unreasonable or unexpected. often theres a few steps in a step wise workup before you would be jumping to that diagnosis to justify deeper dives. yea its not surprising it takes a few docs to figure out a diagnosis rare enough that most doctors never have/will encounter. whoever diagnosed it probably wouldnt have without being informed by the prior workup. this isnt a diagnosis a doctor is going to make on initial workup with/without AI.

again there is a reasonable step wise approach for workup of these types of things. that may include starting with conservative measures like Xrays, nsaids, and PT. failure of those are probably required before insurance will be allowing EMG/MRI to make this diagnosis. aside from maybe NP having connections with the neurologist... a neurologist probably wouldn't have even made an appt for your grandson without the info from the prior workups.

Do you know if they did blood cultures? They take a day or two to incubate and turn positive. Did they give you any antibiotics?

Still alive, first hospital ran a shitload of CT scans, blood work, MRIs cardiovascular test. Got nothing, determined not cardio related left with right shoulder soreness and pain, high dose steroid and loratab 500 I think Saturday am. By Sunday an it was clear that this wasn’t going to work pain cane completely back laughing at my loratab attempt and began to shift to my neck my right shoulder and too of the right foot. Had to get ambulances there too because of my wife did one of her panic short stops or something felt like it would kill me.

The pain is like nothing you can imagine it’s like every cell in that muscle is on fire attacking you but you don’t get the tingle or electro magnetic trigger that brings up your endorphins your just get pain. It’s worst than a string ray I can say that safety and it gets better over time this pain in constant throbbing knock you on your arse pain. I looked in the mirror once and my shoulder looked like hunched back like as they had twisted and contorted etc. it’s nuts.

Done about 15-20 MRIs
40-50 or more CT scans with contrast without
30 x-ray or so
100s blood test
Spinal tap
Urine test,
Stress test
Etc etc

Excluded

All common virius, Covid, flu strep, RSV
Bird Flu
Meningitis
All the weird heart issues, mitt value, aortic aneurysm etc etc

They have found some disc bulges and a few spurs etc but that it didn’t cause this

Hit gram negative in one blood culture but didn’t replicate and I think a few other litte hits so treating me with high high level steroids, Vancomycin, Rocephin, and one other antibiotic started with A may have been augmentin or something and morphine? Dilaudid for pain with occasional morphine or something on occasion and metaxalone a muscle relaxer.

Getting better but it’s weird not to know why. Why just passing through maybe

I suggest getting tested for vitamin/mineral deficiencies. Also, seeing a bodywork specialist.
