There’s no “energy independence” in a free market.

We still sell our oil abroad and buy it from foreign markets. People just love to repeat simplistic talking points.

So you are changing your argument?

You started with energy independence now you want when we were aggressively importing oil?

When we were “aggressively importing” oil, were we still energy independent?

Energy independent is way different than saying we didn't import any oil. You either know that and are trolling or you are an idiot for not knowing it. Both make you a loser.

Actually, you are wrong. If a country were energy independent it would import nothing used for energy which was not the case. The concept you are looking for is something like being BTU trade-neutral or trade-surplus.

It would be ironic if one day the US generates more fuel from refining “unclean” animal parts, and cuts deeper into Muslim nation’s profits.

Could they also not?

That is implied in the word "could," but prices rise when you cut supply during periods of steady (or rising) demand.

Do you think demand for oil will decrease in the USA during the summer?

Can you show me in the data below where the US imported 0 barrels of oil?

Our refineries aren’t set up to refine all the kinds of crude we produce here. We have to import some to keep up with demand.

You either knew that and got your shot in or you are as ignorant as the rest.

This is why the idea we were "energy independent" was a misnomer. Those who do not understand this are the ignorant ones. It is arguably acceptable for a politician to bandy about but it is technically incorrect.

Brandon should keep alienating us producers. We’re gonna set production records this year so let’s keep doing whatever we’re doing now.

I’m very aware of that but many people are not. It’s the main reason why energy independence for the US is not a reality.

All worth it brah. We really stickin it to Putin brah! Any second now the war will end and we can spend trillions to rebuild Us bank owned Ukraine. And the us infrastructure will continue to go unfunded and rusting away. This administration really cares about Americans now that the adults are back in control.

Don't worry, Biden will release the rest of the Strategic Oil Reserve to help keep prices from getting too high. I mean, what could go wrong?
