Ohio man lashes out at judge over sentence, gets longer sentence

Sigh, still using the same worn out excuse. Perhaps he should look in the mirror, that will show him who is really at fault...
quote:
After an Ohio man was sentenced to decades in prison earlier this month, he lashed out in court — and the judge was not pleased.
quote:
Manson Bryant, 32, appeared in Lake County Common Pleas Court in Painesville on March 1. He was charged with aggravated robbery and kidnapping in July 2018 following an alleged home invasion
quote:
Bryant, after expressing remorse for what he did, was sentenced to 22 years in prison by Judge Eugene Lucci. In a video that was released on Tuesday and published by Fox affiliate WJW, Bryant tried to fight back -- seemingly by shouting expletives at the judge.
quote:
]"F--- your courtroom, you racist-a-- b----! F--- your courtroom, man," Bryant yelled in court. "Twenty-two f------ years! You racist-a-- b[/b]----!"
quote:
The 32-year-old appeared to be restrained by law enforcement in the court. As a result of his outbursts, Lucci added six years to Bryant's sentence.
quote:
"It was clear that the remorse he was trying to portray was phony and that he wasn't remorseful at all," the judge told WJW. "And that if given the chance, if I let him loose on society, he's going to prey on other people."
quote:
Bryant's attorney in a statement to the news outlet said Bryant "had an emotional and regrettable reaction to" his sentencing. "He was otherwise very composed throughout the course of his trial, even when the verdict was rendered. He intends to appeal the verdict and sentence, and continues to remain hopeful," the statement continued.

Lucci told WOIO Bryant's tirade wasn't his first in front of the judge. In 2014, when Lucci sentenced him to 12 months in prison, he said Bryant walked out of the court saying, "Suck my d---, judge." "It seems to be a repeat pattern with him,"

Seems like a real solid guy. We should definitely let him walk the streets as a free man.

Or... still not enough.

I guess. It just seems a bit over the top for an outburst.

Or... still not enough.

I was in Judge Linda Holliday’s courtroom some years back when she sentenced a young guy to eight years for PWITD Cocaine. He called her a “count” in open court and she immediately found him in Contempt. Guy laughed and said “what you gonna do?” and she promptly sentenced him to twelve months in EBR Prison to run CONSECUTIVE to his DOC sentence. Guy didn’t know what consecutive meant I guess because he lost his mind when she explained to him that when he finished his prison sentence he was going to get to sit in the crappy EBR jail for twelve months.

I'll never understand these idiots in court that think they'll help their situation by mouthing off to the judge. That's the last person you want to do that with..

It's amazing how arbitrary our criminal justice system is.
"You talked back to me and challenged my authority? I hereby add 6 years to your timeout!"

Need to know more about what actually happened before I decide if the sentence was too much or too little.

Really? Dudes a lifelong criminal and told the same judge to suck his dick after getting a years sentence in the past......
Then, he tried to act remorseful during sentencing, but had that outburst. Sounds like the judge was being lenient until the frickstick acted like a piece of shite.
