So, there is nothing in the announcement that says they are no longer doing mRNA vaccine development. The Subject of the OP is literally a lie.
They are cancelling 22 contracts that are focused on mRNA vaccines for respiratory diseases like flu and Covid. There's nothing stating that they will not be funding mRNA research into other diseases like cancer, etc.

I agree with you. As I mentioned earlier, the handling of this pandemic was abysmal. We had had many outbreaks in the 20th century that were handled so efficiently that they often passed through with little notice from the public.
The way our government reacted to a new coronavirus was pathetic (the reaction would have only been appropriate if it was a new bird flu virus that had become communicable among humans). There was absolutely no need to shut down anything except limiting access to nursing homes and other senior centers. There was also no need to vaccinate the entire population.
It was just a coronavirus, FFS. It was quickly identified as a threat only to older people and anyone with a compromised immune system.

mRNA technology is being used to develop vaccine treatments that could completely revolutionize cancer treatment and allow people to avoid the pain and suffering of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Hopefully he’s not affecting that with this nonsense.
Perhaps he and the big American pharmaceutical companies don’t want that to happen, so they’re all going to pretend that they never developed the mRNA technology in the first place.

I don't know about the flu, but when shite opened back up RSV cases exploded, and it was outside of it's normal season. It ran through schools and shut a bunch down. My mom got it during that time and it took her over four months to shake it completely.

If you would read the Pfizer Papers,Pfizer and the FDA knew within 3 months of rollout of the vaccine that it wasn’t stopping infection or transmission of the virus.
4 months after release of the vaccine they knew it was damaging hearts of young people,predominately males.
Yet they continued with the mandates,continued to promote the lie that if one took the vaccine they wouldn’t get Covid.
People lost their jobs for refusing to take the vaccine.Families and friends suffered broken relationships because some refused to take the “experimental vaccine”
Military personnel were kicked out for refusing the” vaccine “when it was known the “vax” wasn’t effective and also known it was damaging the hearts of some young men.
I know a soldier of 10:years that fought both Afghanistan and Iraq that was kicked out for refusing the “vax”.So much for his service..
I also know a young soldier with 2 children that suffered heart damage and last I talked to him was on 4 heart meds.
I’m sure Austin and Millie profited handsomely for their role in mandating the “vax”.They didn’t give a shite about our servicemen and women.

Just as long as they sign paperwork that says they left their position of their own volition without coercion and they do not hold the military nor the government responsible for losing their jobs.

It’s not quite that easy.They will get back pay for the time they were released but they have to list the jobs they held and copies of W-2’s and that will be subtracted from the back pay.

Its extremely easy to tell who on here works in medicine or at least knows how to read a scientific paper, and who doesn't. This thread is kind of a gold mine for it.
