Y'all are only telling half the story.

Somehow, methane gas leaked out of the sewer pipes.

However, it needed an ignition source. Luckily, Entergy had a faulty underground electric line that was sparking, which lit the gas.

NOLA: Where we have the worst public utility in the country (S&WB) and the worst private utility in the country (Entergy)
