It's the pilot. Flight simulator, family problems, political agenda, etc.

Just that the US is focusing more on the plane crashing in the Indian Ocean. The southern arc.

They announced the pilot attended a trial for some politician just prior to the flight taking off. The politician whom he supported was found guilty and received 5 years in jail. Hinted that might have posted to him being emotionally unstable.

I agree. I thought earlier in the week it had to be copilot b/c of his age but the pilot seems to have an agenda.

CNN article linked earlier. That is what Malaysia is saying is the most likely. As no one in India, Afghanistan or Pakistan picked this thing up on radar.

I posted this earlier. Does it not seem like the pilot would have stated something to someone like ATC or requested to speak with some official in the Malaysian government to draw attention to the political situation instead of not saying anything and taking the plane on an unscheduled joyride without saying a word? If he was pulling a stunt like this for political reasons surely he would make those reasons known.

following the southern track, there is a remote island chain, almost all by itself. The Keeling Islands. The larger archipelago has a long runway, and it's very remote.
