The more U.S. officials learn about the flight, "the more difficult to write off" the idea that some type of human intervention was involved, an official familiar with the investigation said.
The jetliner was flying "a strange path," a U.S. official said on condition of anonymity. The details of the radar readings were first reported by The New York Times on Friday.
Malaysian military radar showed the plane climbing to 45,000 feet -- which is above its approved altitude limit -- soon after disappearing from civilian radar screens and then dropping to 23,000 feet before climbing again, the official said.

Haven't seen that posted anywhere...
I can't find a link...

how many times does the 45,000 ft. number have to be discredited before it stops being mentioned?

It's not entirely discredited though, they said it may not be correct.
Truthfully, no one knows anything yet. They have experts constantly on these shows all presented with the same information with completely different opinions on what happened.
Until more information comes forward everyone is guessing.

Malaysia Airlines MH370 live: plane could have followed a flight path towards Turkmenistan
Malaysian government official said investigators are increasingly certain that someone with aviation skills was responsible for the change in course
LINK

To sum up, the PM confirmed that plane has flown a long way off course for up to 7.5 hours after losing contact with the ground and that it gradually had its systems turned off.
He said it could have continued on two different paths; along a corridor above the southern Indian Ocean and - astoundingly - towards Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. As a result, searches in the South China Sea have ended.

So they now believe it was hijacked and landed or hijacked and crashed?

So all along the US and Malaysian government knew the plane didn't crash into the South China Sea/Gulf of Thailand? And knew where the plane was?

Watch cnn it keeps being reported

sure does seem like it

Turkmenistan it is. Putin is probably debriefing the passengers as we type.

That says nothing to make the conclusion that they landed the plane along the northern track, or even tried to. All it says is the deviation appears to be caused by human actions and not due to mechanical failure of the airplane.

This is bazzare. So perhaps they were/have been trying to negotiate with the hijackers?
Posted on 3/15/14 at 9:30 pm to BeerCity
Maybe he did. Perhaps he did communicate this to Malaysian authorities and everything since has been one huge attempted cover up.

shite...you guys are still regurgitating the same thing we've known all day.

No I am only watching cnn. Can you post where they say it landed somewhere in Asia? Lol

You should email them and tell them to put it on their website, bc there isn't as much as a peep on there. Additionally, the last breaking news they had an hr ago was about the pilots almost certainly being responsible.
I'm not saying it isn't in the water, but NO PRINT SOURCE IS REPORTING IT
Posted on 3/15/14 at 9:35 pm to Lsut81
This will never be resolved. It just disappeared into thin air. Debris may finally make it to shore somewhere a few years from now.
Posted on 3/15/14 at 9:38 pm to Lsut81
I've been saying the pilots were responsible from day 2 or 3.
The consensus is that they are responsible. The question remains where did the plane go after heading west of Malaysia. Did it fly north into Asia remaining hidden from numerous radars in many countries? Or south where there aren't any radars?
