Per CNN, the US thinks it's was the southern arc

For once I am agreeing with something someone says on CNN. I think we will find this plane in one piece.

That's unusual.
I wonder how often people check in but don't make their flight though. Could be as simple as checking in the night prior an not getting there, or something more sinister?
You'll found out right after this commercial break, on the next Unsolved Mysteries.

I wasn't sure what he meant by that. If they think it went south, do they think he Sully'd the plane and it's just floating around?

I refuse to watch their banter no matter what.

i always check in as early as possible. right in that 24 hr window just to avoid any craziness like getting bumped or my seat switched.
still intrigued by the false passports. didn't they say there were possibly more than 2?

i wonder if he was trying to get to antarctica

its a little unusual in that this was a very late night departure. You have to make an effort to be there because there is not a follow on flight until tomorrow. So, rare for people to miss these international flights due to missed connections, traffic, overslept, etc, that might happen with a day time flight.
However, 4 people missing out of almost 240 people isnt unusual to much. that could be anything from a flat tire to deciding to stay another night for whatever reason.

Then again, it could be a false flag operation by the Malaysion government to discredit the opposition.

Doc, I'm must be having a complete mental block but how does that cartoonish graphic answer my question?

So you have no faith in what the US is saying?
Posted on 3/15/14 at 9:16 pm to Golfer
The US feels the plane turned south and crashed in the Indian Ocean.

U.S. intelligence officials are leaning toward the theory that "those in the cockpit" -- the pilots of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 -- were responsible for the mysterious disappearance of the commercial jetliner, a U.S. official with direct knowledge of the latest thinking told CNN on Saturday.

So they now believe it was hijacked and landed or hijacked and crashed?

Haven't seen that posted anywhere... All the news sources I see are quoting US officials confirming that the piolets were likely in on it and that Pakistan may have been a destination point
