What are some out the box ideas?
Can the 'crop dust' a city with it?

If we are talking about targeting china I would say steal plane headed for China and land it elsewhere
Allow the major powers time to find missing plane before executing an attack they could have done a week ago.

the amount of people on board and their nationality could be much more valuable than the actual plane. china has been very quiet, who knows what type of back channel conversations they could be having with terrorist.

Do you people really believe that these pilots or hijackers still have these people just chilling on the plane eating airline peanuts for food after a week's time and they are now just waiting to get that thing back in the air to spring their surprise attack now? I would bet anyone on here that thing is at the bottom of the ocean. It is a huge search area.It might take awhile to find it or they may never locate it. But pieces or evidence would have to wash up eventually.

The human imagination is truly a wonder to behold. I'm still thinking that there is an ET related dimension to this thing. Would explain the plane wildly ascending and descending quickly. Some sort of tractor beam or something from said alien craft.

There is no way they landed that thing somewhere without tipping someone off. If it crashed over land I think some debris would have been found by now with all of the satellite analysis and aerial search coverage. It has to be in the ocean.

No it's not, we obviously took remote control over the 777 and flew it to Diego Garcia because the random commercial jetliner was carrying special cargo that 2 dead seals were tracking from a container ship. DUH!
