Yeah, it's horrible enough to lose a family member, but this has for to be unbearable.
Think of the complex issues if the lane isn't found like life insurance . How long will these people have to wait for the insurance companies to pay up.

In most places in the U.S., it's seven years without contact or evidence of life before the courts will declare someone legally dead, but I believe that in instances like this where there is overwhelming likelihood of the person having been exposed to grave peril and not returning, the courts will hear petitions to have someone declared dead much sooner, in days or weeks.

That story is heart wrenching. I'm drawn to the whodunnit, and the mystery, but I really hate thinking of the people on board and their loved ones left behind wondering. I can't imagine what that poor woman, her children and others are going through.
Her story worked though. This guy in the USA knows Paul Weeks, and he sounds like a stand up guy. Hoping for the best for him but no matter what, I hope the families get closure sooner rather than later.
