1-2 inches would really mess things up around South / SE Louisiana.

That’s also just snow/sleet. Doesn’t include any freezing rain and the ice it would cause.

The wording of the Winter Storm Watch from NWS Huntsville has changed a bit:

quote:

WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH LATE MONDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast and northwest Alabama and southern middle Tennessee.

* WHEN...From late Sunday night through late Monday night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. The cold wind chills as low as zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

Early today they were favoring the snow solution. Now, they have a mixed solution with mostly snow.

Yea if that verifies, the whole region will stop like it does after a hurricane. Sleet is one thing but on top of freezing rain is a whole other thing.

New Orleans news is saying that there won’t be any frozen precipitation from BR to the Northshore.

That doesn’t jive with what’s being posted here.

Those kind of freezing rain totals would be very bad.

Fuuuuuuccccckkkkkkkkkkkkk thiiissssssd

I'm pretty much delirious at this point from fever and lack of sleep but Mrs. Wishn took Wishn Jr. Jr. (10 months) to the ER bc his fever and his breathing was getting labored

I stayed with Wishn Jr (3) who is only slightly less miserable than me and I finally made him go to sleep which he finally did. I tried to sleep but no luck

Wishn Jr Jr is positive for flu just like his older brother and thankfully negative for everything else. Idk what they sent her home with but hopefully some stuff to help

Having this badass flu with this weather coming tomorrow is no fun whatsoever. I got shite tomorrow I HAVE to go to tomorrow for pipe burst prevention. Just hoping I'm not too miserable when I go

Anyways, there's my rant. Everyone stay well and keep your pipes solid (not of solid ice)

Just realized Monday is MLK day. So one of the few snow days kids get in the South and they would have been out of school anyway. Figure.
