Weather channel is steadily bumping up snowfall accumulation totals for us here in north ms
It’s been 3-5 inches expected all week and today now they’ve increased it to 5-8 inches by tomorrow here in Oxford

Yeah, the Winter Storm Warning for north AL now calls for 2-5" of snow/sleet and light accumulations of ice.
What a mess.
What a mess.

Baw, it sounds like you're in the weeds with this one. That's just misery. I hope you all can have a miraculous recovery. Hang in there.

Just realized Monday is MLK day. So one of the few snow days kids get in the South and they would have been out of school anyway. Figure.
With the way storms are treated these days it'll more than make up the difference

Yea it's been rough, once Mrs Wishn got home late last night I took all the meds I thought my body could stand and was able to sleep pretty good at least
Kids are about the same. I feel better this morning but still have 100+ temp. Just gonna bundle up and do shite until I'm done or collapse whichever comes first

Currently a brisk -10 here.

I like to walk in the mornings and I like long walks before church on Sunday’s. Sometimes I do 8 but 6 was all I could handle in the cold.

Currently -3 with a -21 wind chill where I am at. Don't worry though because it is supposed to get all the way up to -2 today.

Local Mmemphis TV Mets are sort of downplaying snow totals except for narrow band across north MS angling into northwest Alabama including some north of the Tenn state line
Say the air is too dry and moisture will evaporate before reaching the ground
Will be interesting to see what happens as they are the only ones I've seen lately push in the direction of less precep vs more

I’ve learned when it comes to winter weather in the south it’s usually a good bet to not expect much compared to the hype.

So true delta….
I went to Kroger yesterday at like 8:30 am and there wasn’t much activity… and the bread aisle was fully stocked and then before the sunset yesterday.. Oxford police tweeted out a picture of the Kroger bread aisle picked almost clean hahaha

This is true. Little factors or a few miles can make a lot of difference. Just have to wait and see how it plays out.
