I guess I am curious as to how they were able to see the gun but not see that they were talking to a Hispanic guy instead of a white/black guy that they wanted to talk to.

He can claim his life doesn't suck, but anyone who has enough time and energy to obsessive with anything as much as he does bad police or race stories isn't happy.
Take a look in the mirror

No matter what their account is that's not good for them because this guy should've never been involved.
That doesn't give the guy a free pass for not putting his gun down, allegedly.
I'm not saying the cops are perfect.

So you expect them to not be on edge with a gun pointed at them, and the person holding that gun not listening to them?

Officers said Lopez came to the door pointing a gun at them. Those officers claim to have asked Lopez multiple times to drop the gun before they started shooting.
As the cops where at the wrong house, they better be able to prove this.
On a side note, do we really want a bunch of dumb asses that can't go to the correct house carrying weapons and have legal immunity to end a citizens' life?
Initial impression: Another citizen protected and served.

Looks like the cop did the right thing, good job

The man was in his home. He gets the benefit of the doubt in this case IMO. Not the rocket scientists who weren't even at the right house.

Everyone has a complaint, and no one has a solution.

It's not illegal for the guy to have a gun in his house. I will be curious to see if they can prove that he was pointing it at them or not.

Ok, that has nothing to do with the supposed situation though.

Yes I am the only person on this board who knows his posting habits. Haha

The solution should fall on those carrying the badge and guns...
In this particular case, the solution is very simple.
1. I don't know, show up at the correct house. This isn't asking all that much.
2. Don't attempt to charge into someones home in the middle of the night unless an innocent is in danger
Posted on 7/26/17 at 9:26 am to LNCHBOX
Sure it does. This guy could be dead because he answered his door in a dangerous neighborhood in the middle of the night with a gun. Like I said previously we will have to wait and see what the body cam footage shows.

The supposed story has a little more to it than he had it in his house. I agree we need to let the facts come out, but what you posted is totally irrelevant.

number 2 is something that will happen across the nation with time.
Mistakes happen as far as number 1. Not saying mistakes should be forgiven but that's part of human life: I actually believe these guys should be punished at this point??

Wells implied that officers had reasons not to tell the truth in their account of what happened. Namely, because they could face consequences for shooting Lopez

He also said that Claudia, who was the only one on the property who could not be held responsible for shooting Lopez, did not hear any commands or instructions being given
And of course she has no reason to lie.

She has the least reason of all the folks involved.

Agreed. What is going to suck is when the video shows that the cops shouted put down your gun 1.5 seconds before blasting through the door.
