Why is this even news anymore.
This is what cops do. Typical of the roided up, meat head failed athlete that wants to be a cop anyway.
Maybe, but good cops are everywhere. I have a buddy on DPD and he's one of the most caring people in the world. Great cop, great husband, great friend, everything. His buddies I've met on the force are the same way.
I'm as critical as can be when it comes to bad cops, but don't act like that's indicative of all cops.

Problem is far too often, like more than 95% of the time, the “good cops” don’t do a damn thing about the bad ones.

Let’s not forget this tidbit.
“It’s been a month and I still can’t shake it,” Arreola said. “It was traumatic, the whole incident."
He told the Register has retained an attorney and is seeking financial damages from the Buena Park police department.

Funny story - I almost bought a house from that cop.
Kidding of course.

95% of the cops I see ( not LSP) aren’t anywhere close to athletic. I get your point, but your effort is wasted when you say something like this.
Might as well tell me you can guarantee me you’ll never get cuffed.

What are they supposed to do? They're colleagues not the boss.
If they bring something to a superior and nothing happens, they get a bullseye on their back.
The issue is up the chain, not at patrol level.

How can you defend this?
If he thought he was stealing he could have said something without a gun.
He needs to lose his job for sure.
