See, if that little bastard you're trying to foist upon some unsuspecting company by tossing a $1k bribe had that kind of go-get-em spirit, you wouldn't be considering having to toss the $1k bribe.

In Jr. High I took my $1.10 lunch money and bought a bag of tootsie pops, and bought a 5 pack of bubblicious. Sold the tootsie pops for $.10 and the gum for $.05 a piece, doubled my lunch money every day.

We couldn't do that. It cut into the school's take from their concessions, so it was verboten. The price the school was charging was too low to adequately support a grey market that was worth the risk if you got caught.
Those bastards knew what they were doing and killed their 13 year old competition with a swiftness.

We have a referral bonus where I work...If I refer someone who gets hired, I get a bonus. But I've never offered someone at a company money to get me hired.

Kinda off topic, but about five years ago a guy who works for my stepdad said he knew a guy who needed a job. The guy had the credentials, so he says ok...tell him to come in Monday morning and we can get him started. This guy was 35-40 years old with a law degree. He shows up Monday for the "interview/introduction" with his mom and dad. They sat in with him too.

Is your kid so much of a loser that he needs it to get a job?
If yes then yes.

Highly unethical and would result in termination of the hiring manager in any decently run company.

Is that because the money offered was not enough? I have more?
